Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention announce the establishment of their new mental health podcast

Limerick Treaty Suicide prevention has announced the debut of their new podcast ‘Life is for Living’.
Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention has been running since 2018 and works tirelessly towards suicide prevention in Limerick. Starting off with only six members to their name, Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention have since majorly expanded and are delighted to announce the release of their new podcast series.
The new podcast series will guide listeners on how to overcome struggles that they may face, such as anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and all things associated with mental health.
Life is for Living currently offers a total of five episodes, with each episode dealing with a unique theme. The podcast will also make an effort to give listeners an insight into the struggles faced by others in today’s society.
Episode One of the podcast features Keith Walsh, former RTE 2fm Breakfast Show broadcaster and former Westlife member. Walsh is now a major advocate of mental health and in the podcast, speaks about his own personal experience with mental health and how to ask for help.
Other episodes of the podcast will include tips for creating a healthy environment when working from home during the pandemic and creating a healthier headspace when dealing with issues such as distraction and anxiety. Each podcast episode is thirty minutes long and can be accessed via Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Throughout the five episodes, a multitude of inspiring voices will be heard, including Matt Collins, chairperson of Limerick Treaty Suicide prevention, Marie Rainsford, member of Limerick Treaty Suicide prevention, Stephen Leahy, the ‘Anxious Barber’ and Pat Divilly, author, speaker and high-performance coach. Each guest will share stories and authentic experiences with the topic of mental health.
Commenting on the establishment of the new podcast series, Ashley Carroll, Limerick Treaty Suicide prevention PR and Social Media Officer said “The aim of this podcast is clear, and that is to raise awareness on Mental health and Suicide prevention, something that is a great concern in our city at the moment. The guests we will have on this channel will have encountered their own struggles with Mental Health.”
