The hotel said it is proud to continue the partnership “as a dedicated supporter of women’s sports” and hopes to help “these talented athletes to realise their potential”.

One of the standout features of the sponsorship package is complimentary access to a state-of-the-art Health and Leisure Club. Equipped with cutting-edge facilities; Spacious gym along with a 20m heated swimming pool, sauna steam room and jacuzzi and hosted by a team of highly qualified fitness instructors.

A Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel spokesperson said, “In light of the recent report from the GPA referencing the continued struggle by female inter-county teams to access basic financial, medical and logistical needs, it gives us great pride to reaffirm our continued commitment and support towards the Limerick Ladies Teams for the upcoming season. We feel that female sports should receive the same benefits and recognition that their efforts deserve.”

As well as the health and leisure club access, the player will benefit from health and nutritional post-training and post-match meals.

The hotel noted “proper nutrition plays a pivotal role in optimising performance and recovery” and said, “That’s why our expert culinary team has carefully curated menus that focus on providing balanced and nourishing meals for the last number of years.”

“To further support teams in their training and competitions, we contribute towards their training gear as part of our sponsorship package. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the provision of exceptional facilities and services,” they said.

Marking the occasion at “The Treehouse” in the hotel on Monday, June 26, renowned RTÉ GAA analyst and former Limerick camogie star, Aoife Sheehan hosted a launch event which brought together influential figures took centre stage, to discuss the shared challenges faced by individuals and teams.

The esteemed panel featuring Limerick’s own sprinter Ciara Neville, former Cork Gaelic Footballer Brid Stack, and Mary Fitzgerald of Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel, regaled the audience with how resilience helped them through their personal journeys.

They emphasised the significance of surrounding ourselves with positive influences and showcasing the power of collective strength as a catalyst for personal and team success. The event left an indelible impression, inspiring participants to embrace resilience, foster unity, and pursue greatness in the face of adversity.

The Fitzgerald family wishes “all involved the best for the upcoming season” and the group hopes “the launch proves the catalyst for a successful season for these remarkable athletes”.
