Network Ireland Limerick held its March International Women’s Day event in Limerick’s Savoy Hotel on March 21, 2024.

The topic of the Network Ireland Limerick March event was ‘Inspire and Inclusion’ and members were treated to a trio of inspiring Limerick ladies on a panel discussing their own business journeys and how they have set up inclusive businesses.

Guest speakers included Sinead O Brien of Sinead’s Curvy Style and Vacious Shapewear, April Drew of Drew Media, Brides of Munster and Getawaywithkids and Nell Stritch of Pressed Flowers by Nell. All three ladies spoke from the heart about diversity and inclusion in the business world and as female entrepreneurs.

They were interviewed by every bubbly Karen Ronan, General Manager of the Shannon Region Conference and Sports Bureau.

The fireside discussion was at times, funny, poignant, and insightful for the crowd of over 75 members attending. Among the topics that came up were grief, dealing with the unexpected, juggling family life, getting your support team right, collaborating with your partners and family members and many other common subjects among the ladies.

Fiona Doyle, president of Network Ireland Limerick said, “It was amazing to have three world class female entrepreneurs talk about their personal experiences and the difficulties of forging your own path in business. The fact that they are all members of Network Limerick gives me such pride and inspiration. All three are based or work in Limerick and all three had inspiring stories about the women in their lives and the events in their lives that inspired them.

It was such an uplifting experience for me, my committee and all of those present. It gives us such hope for women in our network going forward.”
