Soprano Sarah Dolan in Concert
By I Love Limerick Correspondent Niamh Higgins
An unforgettable evening of arias and song with Soprano Sarah Dolan and Pianist Mary Scarlett will take place at 8pm on Sunday September 14th in the Hunt Museum, Limerick.
Having a successful musical career, Sarah Dolan will return to Limerick. In July Sarah performed the role of Musetta in La Bohème with Berlin Studio in association with Festival Junger Kuenstler, Bayreuth in Germany.
Last year she performed the role of Pamina in Die Zauberflöte with the Lyric Opera Studio of Weimar and has performed as a soloist with the Thüringer Symphoniker Saalfeld-Rudolstadt under the baton of Oliver Weder.
Sarah began her studies with Karen Mc Carthy in Limerick City and later at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, Ireland, where she received an honours degree in vocal performance.
During her time there she was awarded the prestigious Thomas Moore Vocal Bursary as recognition of her ability in the classical Irish music field.
This award led her to be a featured artist on many of the recital stages throughout Ireland including an invitation to the Mansion House of Dublin to sing for the Mayor of Dublin.
Sarah completed her Masters at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) under the tutelage of Cesar Ulloa where she was a grateful recipient of the James H. Schwabacher, Jr. Scholarship.
She recently was invited to perform at the Irish Embassy in London. Sarah is an avid recitalist, enjoying many appearances both in Ireland and abroad.
Sarah recently performed at the Proms in the Park concert with the Army Band in the Peoples Park Limerick and is looking forward to her first classical recital in the Hunt Museum.
