The University of Limerick’s Musical Theatre Society are proud to present ‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’, directed by Alison Kearney and musically directed by Michael Young at the Belltable, Limerick from Wednesday, April 3 to Friday, April 5.

UL Musical Theatre Society was founded in 2019 by Cillian Fahy and Conor McNelis in their first year of college. They were passionate about the idea of a musical theatre society at the University of Limerick and discussed the process with the student president on their first week in the college. UL Musical Theatre Society is proud to have 140 members in 2024. ‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’, will be their third full-scale production following successful productions of ‘Spring Awakening’ in 2022 and ‘Carrie: the Musical’ in 2023.
Under the expert guidance of director Alison Kearney, the characters in ‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’ come to life with vibrant energy and charm. Each contestant brings their unique personality to the stage, captivating audiences with their quirks and struggles.
