ACM Community Development Society is based in Shannon House on the main street in Castleconnell.

Music Generation Limerick County, in partnership with the ACM Community Development Society will launch a new Creative Music Hub in Castleconnell, Co. Limerick for children and teenagers starting on Monday the 19th of February. The goal is to inspire and nurture a lifelong appreciation for music by providing a fun and engaging learning experience that will inspire the next generation of musicians.

The children will not only learn about music but also build social skills in a supportive and inclusive environment, contributing to their sense of well-being. There will be opportunity to explore various musical instruments, helping children to discover their preferences and develop a well-rounded understanding of musical diversity. Instruments include keyboard, ukulele, guitar, drums, pop choir, voice and music technology.

This partnership is committed to laying the foundation for a lifelong appreciation of music with the Creative Music Hub in Shannon House, on the main street in Castleconnell.

Centre Manager Jennifer Caffrey says, “We believe in the power of music to unlock the creative potential in children and to help boost their confidence and self-esteem through learning new skills and participating in group learning and performance. We are excited to provide the children with the opportunity and space to create, play and perform music in their own community”.

Tuition is provided at an affordable price to ensure all children have access to regardless of their circumstances. Barriers around travel and access to instruments are removed to allow every child in the community to experience the pure joy of making music.
