Established in 1997, the awards scheme has to date awarded over 150 scholarships to students attending Coláiste Mhichíl, where JP McManus was formerly taught.

Congratulating the winning students, JP McManus said: “Each of these students have seen their ambition and hard work rewarded with these scholarships. Having attained great results at secondary school, you now move on to 3rd Level education secure in the knowledge that your triumph will provide you the foundation to meet the educational challenges that lie ahead.”

Over 160 guests attended the awards ceremony including Mayor of Limerick City & Council, Cllr Liam Galvin.
