Adare Manor appoints Micheal O Cinneide as Director of Finance

 Micheal has over 20 years experience and has held senior financial positions across a variety of industries

Adare Manor is delighted to announce the appointment of Micheal O Cinneide, who has recently joined the team as the new Director of Finance.

As a qualified Chartered Accountant, with over 20 years of experience, Micheal O Cinneide has held senior financial positions across a variety of industries. After 12 years as the CEO of Dingle Credit Union, responsible for the financial management of the business, he has now departed Kerry to join the Adare Manor team in Limerick.

 Prior to this, Micheál worked for the Oyster Group, Beamish and Crawford and the well-respected financial services group, Deloitte.

Micheál graduated from the University of Galway with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and furthered his studies at the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School in University College Dublin with a master’s degree in Accounting. From here, Micheál went on to graduate as a Chartered Accountant.

In his new role, Micheál will be responsible for Adare Manor’s Finance, Stores and Purchasing departments. He succeeds Colin Kearney who has now assumed a senior role within the group.

Welcoming the appointment, the General Manager of Adare Manor, Brendan O’Connor, said, “Adare Manor is delighted to welcome Micheál to the team and we wish him the very best of luck with his new role. Micheál has substantial knowledge and experience in finance across a wide range of industries and we are excited to see what new opportunities he brings to Adare Manor.”

Set on an 840-acre estate, Adare Manor in Co. Limerick is one of Ireland’s leading five-star castle properties and has been named The Irish Independent’s top hotel in its Hot 100 Hotels list for 2022. The resort re-opened in November 2017 following an extensive restoration, refurbishment, and expansion programme over a 21-month period.

The largest restoration project of its kind in Ireland, the renovation and expansion honours the building’s architectural heritage as a Neo-Gothic masterpiece while incorporating the latest in contemporary luxury. Most notably, the expansion included a new 42-bedroom wing, increasing accommodations to a total of 104 guest rooms, and a ballroom which can host up to 350 guests.
